Who we are

The Church is not a building and not an organization. It is the assembly of the righteous. “Assembly” is the same word used for Israel gathered at Sinai and for those of us who now gather in the name of Jesus the Messiah. We are the people who witness to others about his salvation, his glory, and his coming.

None of us is righteous on our own. We are made right with God by grace through faith in Jesus, and that invitation is open to you.

What we believe

We are part of the Church of the Nazarene, a worldwide family of Christians. Here is what we hold at the center of our faith:

One God.: There is one true and living God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and who made everything and loves what he made.
Jesus.: Jesus is fully God and fully human. He died for our sins, rose from the dead, and is alive today.
The Bible.: The Bible is God’s Word. It tells us everything we need to know about who God is and how to follow him.
Grace.: We can’t earn our way to God. He offers us forgiveness and new life as a gift, and we receive it through faith in Jesus.
Holiness.: This is what Nazarenes are known for. God’s grace doesn’t just forgive us. By the Holy Spirit, it changes us, so that we love God with all our hearts and love other people as ourselves, and become more like Jesus every day.
The Church.: Followers of Jesus aren’t meant to do this alone. We gather to read Scripture, pray and worship, encourage one another, and do good in our community.
Christ will return.: Jesus will come again, and God will make all things new.
