On Mission Together
November 2026 Missions Month at Alex Nazarene
In Acts 11 to 13, the early church prayed, gave, and sent people out together. This November, we're doing the same thing right here in Alexandria and around the world. Here's how you can be part of it.
"The disciples, as each one was able, decided to provide help for the brothers and sisters living in Judea." Acts 11:29
Faith Promise
A Faith Promise is a commitment to give to missions, above and beyond your tithes and offerings. You pray, ask God what He is leading you to give over the coming year, and trust Him to provide it.
Around the world: the World Evangelism Fund, supporting our missionaries, Christian education, and ministry.
Our goal this year: $25,000
Faith Promise Sunday: November 22, with Lindell and Kay Browning
Return your card by: Sunday, November 29
Elim Family Center
The Jerusalem Church of the Nazarene opens the Elim Family Center on November 1, 2026, as a home for Christian Arab families in Jerusalem. The Elim team starts by listening, getting to know each family by name, and walking alongside them. 10% of what is given to Faith Promise in November goes to the Elim Family Center. Tithes are not included, and your full gift still counts toward our missions budget.
Tiger Totes
Help Alexandria-Monroe Elementary send children home with a tote of groceries. Bring canned goods, pasta and sauce, rice, mac and cheese, cereal, peanut butter, crackers, and shelf-stable soups. Add a Funfetti cake mix and candles so every child can celebrate a birthday!
Drop off: The Tiger Totes table in our church lobby, through Sunday, November 29
Pete's Pantry
We're collecting new hats, gloves and mittens, warm socks, and scarves in all sizes, from children to adults. They go to Pete's Pantry, which serves people from our area who come to the pantry for help.
Drop off: The Pete's Pantry table in our church lobby, now through January
Thanksgiving Baskets
Help families in our church who need a Thanksgiving meal. Watch for the sign-up poster in the lobby: pick an item to buy, or give toward or donate a whole turkey or ham. Donating a whole turkey or ham? Tell Pauletta Swank by Sunday, November 15. Items are due Friday, November 20, and gifts of money are accepted through Sunday, November 22.
Christmas Wish List
The Christmas tree with wish list envelopes will be in the lobby by Sunday, November 15. Help children connected to our church or local schools. Give money, or buy the items yourself. Turn in money envelopes at the welcome center by Sunday, November 29. Gifts are due Sunday, December 6. Questions? Ask Pauletta Swank.
Pray with us
Pray for our missionaries, for the Elim Family Center, and for our neighbors in Alexandria.
Thank you for your generosity!
